Rosan P. Roeslani obtained his Business Administration degree from the Oklahoma State University in 1993. He then returned to Indonesia and worked at the banking industry before continuing his study at the Antwerpen European University of Belgium, where he managed to complete his MBA degree with cum laude in 1996. After returning from Europe, along with two of his colleagues, he established PT. Republik Indonesia Funding, better known as Finance Indonesia, a financial advisory company which changes its name to Recapital in 2002, where he serves as Chairman.
Through Recapital, he expanded his experience in the financial sector through various companies like Recapital Securities, Recapital Asset Management, Global Sarana Lintas Artha, Recapital Life Insurance (Relife), and Recapital General Insurance (Reguard). As the Chairman at Recapital, Rosan is highly experienced not only in the financial and banking sector, but also in many of the industrial sectors including mining, property and infrastructure, and media and telecommunication.
His experience in organization dates back to when he joined the Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association (HIPMI) at the early age of his career. Rosan held a position as Vice Chairman of the Banking and Financial Sector at the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN) up until 2015 where he then elected as the Chairman of KADIN for 2015-2020 period.
